This short clip is from Episode 83 of The Allusionist podcast. This is a great episode which features many different interviews (lots of different accents) with various people with strange/interesting names - the woman in this clip, for example, is called Cinnamon. How ? I think my .
How do I ? I think I've about my I .
How do I about it? I think I've felt about my name since I was .

About the sentence

I've felt conflicted about my name since I was small...

to feel conflicted about sth = to have two (or more) very different feelings or opinions about something, which probably makes you feel confused or indecisive. e.g. I feel quite conflicted about letting my teenage son go out with his friends. I really want to let him be independent, but I don't want him to get into trouble.

I’ve always felt the same, but about my middle name (actually I have 2 middle names and two last names if I can say that)

I feel conflicted about waking up at 7 a.m. On the one side it’s good to get up early in the morning as I have a lot of time to do what I’ve planned. But on the other side it’s so tough to make myself out of the bed. :/

The only problem with my name is that it isn’t in my idiom or language..i mean, Jhon is a name from english instead of spanish, my mother language. It makes not a few people in my country don’t know how to write it, therefore I usually have to spell it.

Well I am a dancer and is normal to have a nickname, something like an artistic name into the dancers comunity. This is a little bit funny because when I meet new people they actually feel conflicted about how to call me and I realize, because their faces, that they feel embarrassing about it I don’t know why.
