This short clip is from Episode 85 of The Adam Buxton Podcast, which is a very enjoyable way to practise listening to natural, conversational English. In this episode, Adam talks to Michael Scott Moore about his experience of being kidnapped. Photo by Gery Wibowo on Unsplash

Accent

North American

I , I , I was , , I .
I , I was , I was , , I mean I pissed .
I panicking, I was in , and I was really, really , I mean I was really pissed .

About the sentence

I was really pissed off

'Pissed off' is a very informal (and in some contexts, impolite) way of saying you are angry. It is a very common phrase, but be careful about using it.
